While an undergraduate at MU, Jeff spent time studying abroad at Edith Cowan Univerisity in Perth, Western Australia, and later clerked for State Representative David Levin in the Missouri General Assembly. While a law student at UMKC, he served as Student Chapter President of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies, and is currently active in the Kansas City Lawyers Chapter.
Jeff is an attorney licensed to practice law in both Missouri and Kansas, and has owned and operated Cox Law Office, LLC, in the Original Town area of Raymore since 2003. Before setting up his law practice, he clerked for the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office under former Prosecutor Chris Koster and for the Federal Public Defender’s Office for the Western District of Missouri.
Jeff served a term as the Attorney Member of the Missouri Child Abuse and Neglect Review Board from 2006 to 2009, and has represented the citizens of Ward 2 on the Raymore City Council since 2007.
